Lunch Program

Creating A Safe and Caring Lunch Room Supervision Program

At Herons Crossing School, we believe that in order to provide optimal learning environments and opportunities for our students and staff, a safe, caring, and enjoyable lunch program is an absolute must!

Please note that all students are expected to follow all lunch program behavioural expectations without exception. Non-compliance with these expectations may result in suspension and/or removal from our lunch program.

Healthy Hunger At Herons

Herons Crossing utilizes Healthy Hunger to give parents the option of purchasing Fun Lunches once a week from local vendors. Wednesday is the typical Fun Lunch day; however, additional days are often added just before an extended school break (Christmas, February, Easter, end of June).

Weekly orders must be placed online with Healthy Hunger by the preceding Friday. All orders and payments are made directly through Healthy Hunger (not the school).

If a student is absent on a day when a Fun Lunch has been ordered, parents must call and advise the school before Noon, and then may pick up the Fun Lunch from the school office AFTER 12:30pm on the given day. (For health reasons, lunches cannot be stored beyond the end of the school day.)

Land Acknowledgment

Rocky View Schools would like to acknowledge the land and recognize all the Indigenous Peoples whose footprints have marked these lands from time immemorial. Together, we can learn and honour the Ways of Knowing of Indigenous Peoples for all future generations.
